Osaka-jo

osakajyou

Osaka-jo/Osaka-jo is a place name of a Japanese castle in the Edo Period and Osaka-shi which derives from Azuchi-Momoyama Period [Era] which fits Osaka of Settsu country Higashinari area. A code name is called Kaneshiro or Nishiki. It’s often transcribed with “Osaka-jo” at present because I changed so that “Osaka” might be transcribed with “Osaka” after the modern times.
